MATT WOOD
At a young age Matt knew he wanted to race, and for as long as he can remember it felt as if being a spectator at the off-road races was as good as it was going to get. Growing up he had the opportunity to race amateur motocross where he instantly felt at home flying through the dirt tracks. However, while Matt found success with motocross he always knew he wanted to do more. It wasn’t until the SXS classes were introduced to the off-road world that he would get the opportunity to truly see what he was made of.
2022
Unsure of where this season would lead, we jumped head first into everything Pro Lite. Race after race we continue to learn and grow. After many late, frustrating nights we finally found a place on the podium, taking home a third place at Dirt City Motorplex. The remainder of the season was full of ups and downs - but left us 6th overall for points on the season and determined to get ready for 2023.
2021
A great year for the WORR team. We completely fabricated our own car, not knowing how it would compare to those big name built machines. However, with persistence comes growth... and that paid off. Once again, running in the Pro Stock class, our consistent finishing got us fourth overall for points on the season, finishing behind three Yamaha backed drivers. This success led us to the confidence to make our biggest move yet in this sport. Pro Lite.
2019
Matt purchased a brand new Yamaha YXZ 1000r and built the entire thing from the ground up with the help of his team, making sure it was built top-notch. This led to moving up to the Pro Stock SXS class, which Matt found himself consistently in the top 10, going up against some of the sports best. This was a huge year of growth for Matt, many ups and downs that lead to lessons learned and tips to take for the next season. That being said, Matt still managed to finish seventh overall for points on the season.
2020
The Pro Stock class brought many lessons, challenges, high and low notes. 2020 we learned a lot about the series and how to compete on a higher level. We were humbled more than anything, and ended the season tenth overall for points on the season.

2018
Matt purchased his Yamaha YXZ and without ever driving it, took it to his first race in Shawano, WI for the Monster Energy SXS Spring National, unsure of how he would measure up to the other drivers. Matt raced in the Sportsman SXS class, and ended up with a 2nd and 4th place on the weekend. Little did he know this would be the beginning of an unbelievable season. Over the course of 2018, he raced in the Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League Sportsman SXS Class where he was able to podium race after race. Matt was able to end his rookie season with the most podiums of his class (7 out of 8) and second overall for the points championship,
